Natalia-

I decided to use Natalia as the main artist as she brings more diversity into my music video as she is Hispanic.She is 18 years old which also brings in diversity in age.

Abbie is a white 17 year old girl.She fits into the brief target audience.She has also taken drama so will fit in well when acting.

Frankie-



Frankie is 16 years old who is the youngest out of everybody.Bringing in diversity.I decided to picl her as she has experience in acting which is needed for my music video.

 Hannah-


Hannah is the oldest out of everybody as she is aged 19 I decided to add her as she also brings in beauty appeal like all of the girls making the music video more appealing to the audience which links to Van Zoonens theory.

Nia-

Nia is also aged 18 and will also be in my music video.She speaks very fluently and can be seen as being apart of a higher demographic this shows diversity in class. 

Joseph is going to be the male cast member bringing in different genders.He was also used in my music video to be the antogonist as he is the cheating boyfriend.

construction-First draft music video and evaluation

In my music video I was able to follow my statement of intent of making my music video 'fun loving' and aimed towards the age of 16-24.In the music video I have used a variety of shots such as mid-shots to allow the audience to see the characters movements and gestures to convey their emotions.This is a good way to get the audience to feel upset for the protagonist as it has a sense of realism.I also included shots such as wide shots and close ups and types of camera shot framing such as over the-shoulder shots and point of view.In addition, I've added different angles shots such as high and low angled shots and ground level shot.I also liked the way I was able to follow my storyboards narrative and incorporate performance to follow the genre conventions of a pop music video.

However, for my final music video I will need to edit clips to make the imagery more colourful and bold because some of my clips look dark and dull.This will also make the video look more professional and interesting.I also plan to add non diegetic sound over the diegetic sounds of the girls speaking to make the video look more intense and dramatic.In one of my shots the camera is visible to the eye, the problem is I am unable to plan another date with the actress and actor to re-shot thus will need to edit the video to make it less visible.I also need to add more video clips into my music video as there are black spaces this is where i'm going to include a bold title.

Construction Logo design

Record label logo:

With this logo I wanted to have a equaliser bars for my  music company.I came up with the name 'Deluxe studio' as it sounds expensive and luxurious.The serif font 'Myriad pro' makes the company look more professional and serious.Using different layers I made the opacity of the blocks lighter to indicate the movement of the bars.The colour yellow for 'Deluxe' symbolises it being expensive and high quality service.

Here I wanted to also incorporate music into the music company's logo.By this I merged the serif font letter 'D' with a path  music note.However, I decided to use the sans serif font 'Copper Std' this is because it looks fun and stands out.This is also more appealing to the eye for a younger audience.I also decided to use the colours black and yellow again making my logo as simple making it easier to remember.

Artist Logo:

For my artist logo I decided to incorporate a bear footprint as the letter 'A' using paths in photoshop. The reason I used a bear footprint is because they symbolise strength and confidence.A bear was also seen in my music video making it have a meaning to the artist.Creating this logo I drew a bold bubly sans serif font.I liked the look of it because it is different and stands out.Looking at others artist for inspiration I saw most of the fonts being black as they're simple and bold however,I may decide to add a little bit of colour to my logo.

Costume for girls -

Party scene:

In my music video, the group of girls will be seen wearing this style of dress.The long sleeve dress appeals to all class audience such as C1 and doesn't objectify the females to gain male views (Van Zoonen) . This style of dress is very popular which will appeal to my demographic.

Casual clothing:

The girls will also be seen wearing casual clothing such as denim jeans and a coat.Relating to those with a lower socio economic.People from the age 16-25 are known for wearing this outfit especially those who go to college.People will be able to relate to the group of girls as they're not seen being glamorous but are seen as normal.

Coloured clothing:

The singer is going to be seen wearing the colour red.This links to love and power.She will be seen wearing this colour throughout.

Pyjamas:

There will be a scene with the girls wearing pyjamas such as shorts ,dresses,baggy tops and leggings.The range of pyjamas suits everyone as they're all seen wearing something different.The shorts and dresses could be seen as revealing.

Shoes

Converse shoes are seen as very fashionable for young adults.Using fashion makes the music video more appealing and interesting.

For the party scene the girls will be seen wearing high heels.Showing the fun and glamorous side of the girls.

Costume for Boy -

The male in my music video is going to be seen as very basic with a low socio-economic.This is because he is the antagonist in my music video.The silver coat has been very popular this year and is one of the reasons I wanted to use it in my music video.He will also be seen wearing black boots which links to the stereotypical rock male.

Makeup

The girls will be seen with subtle amount of  makeup on.This is because I wanted my music video to be realistic and natural and not flashy.

Props -

Makeup- makeup will be used as a prop to shown the girls are getting ready to go out.
phone-Technology is very popular for younger generations and will be shown though the narrative.
Umbrella- This is so the visuals and the lyrics link,' make out in the rain' the umbrella will be used to show it is raining.
Books - The girls will be seen holding this to there faces to hide themselves from the antagonist.
Pizza-Linking to the brief fun loving food will be shown to symbolises having a fun night 

Construction – website draft design

On my website draft i decided to incorporate aspects from my textual analysis which has inspired me.On my home page I have a navigation bar which includes 'Home ,Bio, Videos, Merch and Tour'.By having this option my website is easier to use as you are directed to the designated area of the website.The black bold font 'Bodoni Poster ' the serif font stands out against the hot pink header and when the mouse hovers over the menu it turns to a baby pink making it more appealing.Pink symbolises love and nurturing which links to the synopsis of my video 'fun loving ', however, by having a darker shade which is close to the colour red implies fieriness and confidence which is shown towards the audience through my music video.The website has the 17 year old artist on the front of the page which appeals to the demographic audience of 16-25 making the audience feel more connected to someone who is around the same age as them.She is seen to be holding red flowers in her hands were photo shopped to look dead.This symbolises the lose of love between her and her boyfriend in her recent song 'ciao adios' linking to Demi Lovato and Cardi B' s website as she also has a image relating to one of her music videos as her front cover.The direct  mode of  address is very captivating and engages the audience.She is also seen wearing makeup which links to the target audience age this makes the website more interesting.It also has connotations to the music video as she is also seen putting on her own makeup.The use of beauty appeal also appears to the demographic of the male audience as Van Zoonen believes media portrays images of stereotypical women which is then shared on to   the mainstream.In addition,Mulvery argues women are objectified to gain the attention of the male audience which is called male gaze.This could be shown through her body language and facial expression for an example;she is seen having her tongue out with a direct mode of address.This could be identified as sexual and teasing towards the male audience.However, this could also be seen as being rebellious and outgoing as she goes against the stereotype of females being gentle.I also included social media apps in the top right corner which is black going against the light background.People of my target audience are the ones who are most likely to use apps such as YouTube and Instagram this would increase the interactions between the artist and her fans.It also links to my target audience of social class E as the website cover doesn't include high costs to produce.I like my front cover as i believe it stands out towards my target audience.However, I would like to include my artist logo when i finish my design to make the imagery look better.

On photoshop I edited this image by changing the contrast within the flower using a 'feather' to make it blend in with her clothing.

On this website design I got inspiration from Cardi B's by using bright colours.I like this because it stands out towards the audience and makes them what to learn more about her.However i will use a different font for my final production as the serif font can be perceived as old and boring.I will use a sans serif font instead which will make the page look bold.On the photo I photo shopped paint onto my artist this has the page look more fun and exciting.The colour blue symbolises stability and confidence.Her she is seen wearing casual clothing with no designer linking to my lower social economic audience.

Here is my tour page.I wanted to make this page look fun and bold however, the colour pink would not be captivating for the audience to buy tickets.When I finish my website I am going to make my background colour more vibrant.The image of my artist is of her having fun with her hands up symbolising partying this also links to my target audience of aged 16-25 who have the stereotype of partying. Here i wanted to have a serif font this is because I wanted it to look professional.When someone clicks onto the button it takes you to her ticket site.

On my video page I used my inspiration from Demi Lovato as she has a black and white theme.Having a black background I changed the opacity of the black and white image.By having a black and white photo it makes my final videos colour stand out.I also created a animation advertising one of her new songs.This makes my website look more realistic as i wanted other clips to be present to show she has made other songs.

synopsis of the main idea

Synopsis

The hybrid music video has conventions of both performances and narratives. Out with her friends they all stop in disturbance, the enigma finally ends as it reveals they’ve discovered her disloyal boyfriend cheating on her with another female. The sisterhood between her and her friends is shown through there support throughout the music video, allowing her to have self-kindness and become more carefree. Her journey of being dependent and emotional to becoming independent and a strong empowering women is shown as she acknowledges she is better off without him. The fragmented music video will follow (Todorov equilibrium theory) to make the audience follow the narrative . However, will be fragmented as it will contain flashbacks throughout. Fun loving is shown through the bright and colourful imagery, of her and her boyfriend memories, partying with her friends and her bold bright performances, editing I will use filters and tints to boost colours in my music video.
